🥁 Samba!
Our music lessons have been filled with rhythm and energy as we’ve explored samba music. The children have been learning:
- How samba rhythms are structured
- How to keep a steady beat
- How to create rhythmic patterns using only their hands and bodies
They’ve had lots of fun experimenting with sound and performing together.
RE
🕉️ Hinduism
In RE, we have continued to explore Hinduism. This term, the class have learnt about:
- The traditions and celebrations of Hindu weddings
- Significant Hindu festivals and why they are important
- The symbolism and meaning behind different customs
The children have shown great respect and curiosity while learning about these traditions.
Geography
🌳 Rainforests
The children have continued their journey through the rainforest, deepening their understanding of:
- The different layers of the rainforest
- The daily lives of the people who live there
- How deforestation impacts both humans and wildlife
They have carried out research and discussions about how rainforests can be protected and why they are so important to our planet.
