Hot Poets Poetry Project - Make the Planet Cool Again!

We’ve been thrilled to welcome Hot Poet Chris Redmond into school as part of our Hot Poet Ignite Education Programme. Through powerful, thought-provoking poetry, pupils have been exploring climate action and environmental issues in imaginative and meaningful ways. Chris has helped our pupils discover how words can spark ideas, inspire change, and give voice to the things that matter most.

Alongside this, children have been enjoying engaging digital lessons with renowned author and poet Michael Rosen, further enriching their literacy journey. These experiences are helping to develop confidence in oracy, deepen critical thinking, and encourage pupils to express ideas that can help shape a better world.

It’s been inspiring to see creativity and learning come together with such energy and purpose and our pupils have enjoyed every moment.

The Hot Poets poetry anthology – Wonder, Thunder, Blunder includes positive climate poems and fun, wonder facts by over 50+ poets including Michael Rosen, Valerie Bloom and the Hot Poets army. A great resource and read for children in and out of school.
